Between the years of 1945-2000 many drastic changes took place. Whether it be Medicare, Baby Boomers, Women's Rights, or even immigration, these are still topics that are being discussed to this very day. Women in the work was at 39% in 1971, although it is unfortunate that many of them lost their jobs due to the returning soldiers. Canada has come a long way to get to where we are today. It really is a country of freedom. The government has made this country so that people can be free, and be themselves, without discrimination. Everybody is equal and unique, and our differences are celebrated. It was a long, messy, unforgettable journey, but every Canadian should be proud of their title.
